The dancers, ages 10-18, are members of the Midstate Ballet company who have also received training in other dance styles including jazz, tap, modern and hip hop. They will perform during the parade as part of the celebration that kicks off the annual Miss America competition.
The "Show Us Your Shoes" parade will feature current Miss America Mallory Hagan on a grand float, plus the 53 Miss America Contestants driven in convertibles. More than 4,000 marchers and 15 marching bands will provide live entertainment. The parade will also include performances from Kool and the Gang, celebrities Chris Harrison from "The Bachelor" and Lara Spencer from "Good Morning America," and Miss Americas throughout the decades.
