This fall, Capitol Cinema welcomes the Manhattan Short Film Festival back to the Capitol Theatre, 50 N. George St., York.

Ten short films selected from more than 500 international entries will screen across the world Sept. 28 to Oct. 7. Audiences at each venue are handed a voting card and asked to vote for their favorite short. Votes are sent to the festival offices and tallied before the winner is announced Oct. 7. Festival finalists have gone on to receive Oscar nominations.

Locals get the chance to watch the films and cast a vote 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Capitol. Tickets are $9. For details and tickets, call 717-846-1111 or visit mystrandcapitol.org.
