Walking is recommended by doctors to live a healthy life. However, some aren't so lucky to have continued health. That is why the American Lung Association is sponsoring the 2012 Fight for Air Walk at 10 a.m. Saturday at John C. Rudy County Park, 400 Mundis Race Road, East Manchester Township. The event raises funds to fight many lung diseases, including asthma, lung cancer and emphysema/COPD. Participants can register as a full team, join an existing team or walk individually. Registration is from 9 to 9:45 a.m., with the walk starting at 10 a.m. Teams are encouraged to raise at least $100, in which they will receive a complimentary T-shirt. However, any goal is accepted.
