lebanon >> The First Friday Art Walk in Lebanon will break new ground by inviting the public to make art on May 2.
Art Walk organizers are inviting people young and old to pick up a box of street chalk and make some sidewalk art during the daylight hours Friday. HACC Lebanon Campus is offering art space in its parking lot during the next few months for sidewalk art displays. There might be gifts and prizes from the Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts in the future.
Elsewhere in downtown Lebanon, artwork by students in the Lebanon School District will be displayed. Another young artist, Tyler Bergen, will show rapidograph ink drawings and paintings at Tabor United Church of Christ, where Kingdom Covenant, a band comprised of teenagers, will play live music.
Young violinist Reaghan Harvey will perform at The Gallery at LeSorelle in Mt. Gretna. LeSorelle will host artist Jeanette Leid and will be serving light snacks. Resident artists Carol Snyder and Barbara Fishman will be at the gallery to greet guests.
Three bands will offer a free show above the Lebanon Farmers Market, beginning about 5:30 p.m. The bands are Oh Great Mississippi, Shotgun No Blitz and Exit Salida.
Middle Room Craft and Consignment at Third and Cumberland streets will host Bri-Anna Heilman, designer of "diaper cakes" and other practical gifts.
Niko's, above the Lebanon Farmers Market, will offer live music from 8 to 11 p.m.
