Operate on a gourd to create a work of art for our annual Pumpkin-Carving Contest. Snap a picture of the finished product and upload it at www.ydr.com/gallery. Select the "Holidays" category and provide your full name, age, municipality and a daytime phone number, which we will use to reach contest winners. One photo per entry, and one entry per person. Use your imagination instead of a stencil or pattern. Entries are due noon Thursday. Staff members will select first-, second- and third-place prizes. We'll publish the photos in print and will pin them to the FlipSide Pinterest page at pinterest.com/flipsidepa.
