Del McCoury was raised on a farm in York County. In the early 1950s, McCoury heard Earl Scruggs, and it inspired him to pick up the banjo.   more
Halestorm got its start in the region around York County, and Lzzy and Arejay Hale lived in Red Lion at one time. Many of the band's gigs in early years were at venues around York.   more
