Band: George Waltemire, 17, guitarist You were selected for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association's all-state vocal jazz ensemble and all-state jazz band? How did that come about? Back in December, I got together with my directors from Kennard-Dale (High School to put together) a taped audition. That was sent into the PMEA conference and out of the state, I was selected (out of 17 or 18 other kids) for the only guitar seat. The last couple years, I've been doing district jazz.

Where'd the name come from? When we started, we were all from York. There was never really a place growing up like a Lovers' Lane or Lookout Point where kids went with the their dates, so we decided we'd create a Lookout Point for them to go to.

Where'd the name G-Don come from? Originally my name was LMG, that stands for Little Mike G. I got older, switched to G-Don because I'm kind of the leader of my group, so I ran with it. ... I'm gonna have to change it because my image doesn't match with my name. I do more positive songs. A don is a leader of a mafia organization, and I don't make that type of music.
