Have you ever wanted to watch your favorite reality stars in person?
If you are fans of dancing or singing shows, get a chance to sit front row for "Ballroom With A Twist" at the Fulton Theatre, 12 N. Prince St. Lancaster from Aug. 3-10.
The show will have a variety of performances that includes samba, waltz, foxtrot, quickstep, jive and hip hop from "Dancing with the Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance" stars. Contestants from"American Idol," Vonzell Solomon, fourth season and Von Smith, eighth season, will sing solos, duets and accompany their voices as dancers perform.
"Dancing with the Stars" and hosts for the Lancaster show, Val Chmerkovskiy and Sharna Burgess, will give fans a chance to dance on stage and ask questions during a Q&A session.
Fans who watch on their TV only gets a small portion of the high energy performances. Chmerkovskiy prefers the interactions of fans during a live show. "I feel like it's a partnership with the audience," he said, "I feed off their energy and receive instant feedback."
Tickets start at $45 for the two-hour show that will start this Sunday. For a more exclusive experience, the Fulton is selling VIP backstage passes for fans to meet the stars. VIP holders will receive a poster, get autographs and take pictures with the stars on stage. VIP tickets are an additional $75.
"Ballroom With A Twist" has traveled from Seattle to New York City. According to Chmerkovskiy, the performers has 20 shows in 20 days ahead of them. But most importantly, he wishes everyone to take a piece that is intangible. "I want people to take away feeling inspired and happy," he said.
