Gettysburg College will host a screening of "1000 to 1: The Cory Weissman Story" at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, at the College's Majestic Theater, 25 Carlisle St.

Tickets for the screening, which falls before the March 4 DVD release of the film from Cinedigm, can be purchased at the Majestic box office or by calling 717-337-8200.

On the set of '1000 to 1'

Based the true story of Gettysburg College student-athlete Cory Weissman, David Henrie ("How I Met Your Mother," "Wizards Of Waverly Place") stars as Weissman, an 18-year-old basketball star, on his journey to recovery after suffering a horrifying stroke. Partially paralyzed, unable to play the game he loves, and facing an uncertain future, Weissman overcomes enormous challenges in this inspirational story.

The film is a production of Gettysburg Great Productions, LLC, a subsidiary of Weissman's alma mater Gettysburg College, and was shot on location at the college with the help of local residents, staff and students.
