If I eat at Wyndridge Farm's Tasting Room again, I hope to have nearly the exact same experience.

Dining in the Tasting Room feels similar to eating at a country club, except in a barn. A very upscale barn. From the moment you arrive at the farm, you're greeted by a massive, iron chandelier hanging from the barn's tall ceiling.

To the left, near the retail store, hosts take names and cellphone numbers and give you an approximate wait time. When your table is ready, they'll send you a text message.

Inside the tasting room is a bar on one side with a view of the kitchen, tables on the other with views of the property, a fireplace, French doors leading to the brewery and a flat-screen TV. Candles light each table and the chairs are upholstered.

The menu, crafted by executive chef Matt Siegmund, formerly the executive chef at Hunt Valley, Maryland's The Oregon Grille, reflects the farm's elegance. From brick-fired pizzas to Spring Lamb Lollipops, there is more here than just a "taste."

Servers start by explaining the drinks available -- at the time I visited, the 10 Point Ale was the most recent addition to Wyndridge's beverage lineup and its first craft beer. (Laughing Crow IPA has since been released.) I tried Wyndridge's non-alcoholic apple-citrus soda, which was refreshing and light. (Cream soda is also available.)

The South Pleasant Salad arrived next. From there I ordered the Slow-Cooked Short Rib Tacos -- three mini soft-shell tacos stuffed with rib meat and topped with Wyndridge's barbecue sauce. A sweet, soft apple jicama slaw was served on the side of the plate. I added Shaved Brussels Sprouts ($4), which arrived in a large bowl with maple bacon and aged balsamic vinegar, topped with Parmesan.

Other sides include Peruvian Purple Potato Chips served with French Onion Sauce ($3), Pommes Frites served with horseradish ketchup ($4) and Tempura Vegetables ($4).

Some Farm-Sized Portions come with sides. Other seafood, meat and vegetarian plates, such as the tacos, arrive on their own. Specials are created daily.

Dessert plates also change from day to day. I ordered the vanilla bean cake with apple slices and Wyndridge's ice cream, topped with warm caramel sauce ($5).

By the time I finished dining around 6:30, at least a dozen people were relaxed on the patio -- sitting in lounge chairs or at tables, listening to a guitarist. Other people were crowding the bar area, starting with drinks while waiting for a table.

The farm is far more than just a Tasting Room. It's also a venue for weddings and corporate events. Owners Steve and Julie Groff first opened the barn in September, with the Tasting Room starting shortly thereafter.

Since, business has been clearly booming for Wyndridge's Tasting Room. And though it might take a while to nab a table, it's worth the wait.

Jess' tips

Arrive early: I heard wait times can get lengthy, and I believe it. Wyndridge does not accept reservations. So I arrived around 4:45 and was told I'd have a 25- to 30-minute wait.

Order the South Pleasant Salad: Think baby spinach, cheddar cheese, candied walnuts, strawberries and goodness.

Stop by the retail store: The small shop offers T-shirts, scarves and hats, plus glasses, mugs, bottle openers and bottles of soda, cider and wine. And here's an unexpected delight: The store offers a full view of the kitchen, where you can see chefs plating meals.
