Thanksgiving Story Time: Hanover: Children can enjoy stories about our great American holiday, Thanksgiving, from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 23 at Guthrie Memorial Library, 2 Library Place. There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays: Boiling Springs: In that awkward age between childhood and adulthood, Ruby longs for an adventure away from home at Christmas time. With a nod to The Wizard of Oz, she will voyage into the extraordinary and enchanting North Pole to find the real meaning of the season as There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays takes the stage Nov. 4 through Dec. 20 at Allenberry Playhouse, 1559 Boiling Springs Road. Pink Floyd tribute band: Harrisburg: Hailed for their flawless execution, The Machine will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 25 at the Whitaker Center, 222 Market St. Their performances showcase Pink Floyd's enormous legacy through a multi-dimensional approach, including impeccable recreation of Floyd tunes and their own reinterpretation of hypnotic jams. Turkey Trot 5K: York: Get your exercise in before the biggest meal of the year as the Turkey Trot 5K begins at 9 a.m. November 26 at the Graham Aquatic Center, 543 N. Newberry St. The race raises funds to support YMCA Health and Wellness programs. Race participants are also encouraged to bring along donations for the Catholic Charities food drive. Tannenbaum Train: New Freedom: Take a cozy train ride at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Nov. 27, 28 and 29 at Steam Into History, 2 W. Main St. Take a 45 minute ride, then get off the train to take a carriage to Bricker Tree Farm where you can select and purchase a Christmas tree, a fresh wreath or garland. Learn about Birds of Prey: Springfield Township: Meet live hawks, owls or falcons during this indoor program presented by local raptor rehabilitators at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Nov. 28 at Nixon Park, 5922 Nixon Road. See these magnificent flying hunters up close. Learn how these birds are adapted to hunting on the wing. Cameras welcome. This event is free, but registration is required by calling 717-428-1961.

Marvel Universe Live!: Hershey: Marvel fans, assemble!
