Benefit features local bands, vendors


SHIPPENSBURG -- The Thought Lot, 37 E. Garfield St., Shippensburg, will host a benefit show for The King’s Kettle Food Bank from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, with doors opening at 2 p.m.

The event, organized by Hannah Nawa, features local musicians and local vendors and aims to assist those in need in the holiday season. All ages are welcome at the show and all proceeds will be donated to The King’s Kettle Food Bank.

“The King’s Kettle is such an important part of our community”, said Nawa,” and I hope people will come with their friends and family to enjoy an afternoon of music and help replenish the shelves at the food bank.”

The show features local musicians: Evan Crider, Something Else, Dean Brocious, Shawan and the Wonton, Tyler Michael Law and Pines VII. with music beginning at 3 p.m. and continuing until the end of the event.

Participating vendors will include Susie’s Simmering Creations, K&T Gourmet, Lisa Cline Candles, Pampered Chef, DoTerra, Mary Kay and Family Creations. Vendors will open their displays at 2 p.m.

King’s Kettle provides food for local families and individuals who are in need, event organizers say, and he King’s Kettle Benefit Show is the perfect opportunity to give back to the community and enjoy excellent local music and products.

Admission to the event is $5 per person or free with the donation of 5  non-perishable food items.
