Taste of Chamber Music set for Feb. 14

The Hanover Symphony Orchestra's Taste of Chamber Music has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Feb. 14, according to a post on the group's Facebook page. The event was originally scheduled for Jan. 24, but it was postponed due to inclement weather caused by Winter Storm Jonas. Tickets are still available. Call 717-632-8067 for details.

Music lovers: prepare your palates for one of the Hanover Symphony Orchestra's biggest events of the year.
The annual Taste of Chamber Music is set for 3 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover. Local eateries will serve up a bevy of foods as guests enjoy performances by musicians from the symphony.
"It's just a time to socialize and enjoy good food and good music," said business manager Ima Kay Zimmerman.
The event dates back to 2009 and serves a two-fold purpose, according to musician Sarah Zimmerman. It features the talent of the symphony as well as local businesses.
"We've sold out every year," she said, adding that the food layout has been changed to accommodate more guests.
Those with a penchant for Italian fare will enjoy pizza and breadsticks from Pizza Hut and pasta with two types of sauce from Olive Garden. For seafood lovers, a shrimp toast platter from Big Mike's Crabhouse will be served. Shultz's Delicatessen, La Cucina and Warehouse Gourmet are also participating.
A new feature for this year is wine from High Rock Winery and Jackson Square Vineyard. Beer from Miscreation Brewing Company will also be available.
The musical performances will span genres including classical, jazz, brass, fiddle and others, Ima Kay Zimmerman said.
The event takes place in the arts center's conservatory, located on the third floor. It is accessible by elevator.
Tickets are $25 and a limited number are available. Call 717-632-8067 to order tickets. Tickets are not available at the arts center.
