Civil War winter ball scheduled for Saturday


Enjoy a three-course meal and dancing with music by Briant and Karin Bohleke on Saturday at the Civil War Winter Ball. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at The Gettysburg Hotel, 1 Lincoln Square, Gettysburg. A cash bar opens at 5 p.m. Dinner tickets are $75 and dance only tickets are $30. Gettysburg Book Series hosts "Confederates in the Attic" author: Tony Horwitz will participate in a discussion of his experiences while he wrote "Confederates in the Attic" at the Gettysburg Book Series meeting Saturday. All Things Big and Small Exhibit: It's a big show but you might see small art. The artisans at the Hanover Area Arts Guild have been inspired to create paintings, sculptures, fabric art, photography and other crafts that are nine inches or smaller or 24 inches and bigger.
