artFEST at IceFest: artists at work


CHAMBERSBURG - For the Kids of Chambersburg will present artFEST 2016 on Saturday, Jan. 30, from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. at 102 S. Main St., Chambersburg. Artists will begin working at 8 a.m. and the doors will open to the public at 9 a.m. Paintings will be completed by 4 p.m. and the benefit auction will begin at 4:30 p.m..

ArtFEST provides the opportunity for art lovers to purchase an original piece of art, created while the public looks on, during this unique IceFest event; auction purchases benefit For the Kids of Chambersburg. ArtFEST has come to be known as a creative highlight of IceFest: in addition to the working artists, visitors can enjoy live music by Joe Blues and ice carving by artist Danny Kissel throughout the day. Clayton Armstrong will again be the auctioneer. For the Kids will provide complimentary beverages for all.

Artists are invited to share their time and talent in this annual fundraiser to benefit For the Kids of Chambersburg. A canvas will be provided but artists should bring their own paints and easels. Space is limited, with room for approximately 35 artists. Food and beverages will be provided to participating artists. Artists may work for just part of the day, and if not able to attend, should contact For the Kids in order to donate artwork for the auction.
