Alice Rockwell exhibits at hospital

CHAMBERSBURG - Professional artist and art teacher Alice Rockwell is February's Artist of the Month at Chambersburg Hospital. Her paintings will be on display through the month in the first floor hallway at the hospital, 112 N. 7th St., Chambersburg.

A native of the Yorktowne, Va., area, Rockwell has worked professionally as a commercial artist, taught art in a private school and established an ongoing portrait business. She continues to teach at her home in Cleversburg, near Shippensburg.

Her work features lighthouses, landscapes, seascapes, Amish, rural scenes, and a variety of animals. She is particularly fond of Siamese cats.
