FOX43 anchor Heather Warner leaving station

Fox anchor Heather Warner of WPMT-Fox43 will be leaving the TV station after nearly 15 years. Warner, a York County native, is joining Grit Marketing Group of York and Lancaster. In her new role as senior executive, Warner will work with clients to develop marketing initiatives.

Warner will continue anchoring the 4, 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts at Fox43 through March 3.

"Heather is a well-known, trusted advocate in this region. Her passion and commitment to telling peoples' stories will shine through as she develops integrated marketing strategies that will tell our clients' stories," said Julie Lando, president of Grit, in a press release.

Warner served as WGAL's York bureau reporter up until June 2002, when she left to pursue a career in teaching. She joined Fox in 2003. Warner has a master's degree from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
