Celestial bodies star in new exhibition


WAYNESBORO - 42 West ARTS Co-Op & Gallery will host an "Art of the Night" reception with stargazing from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 8, at 42 W. Main St., Waynesboro, to open a two-week astrophotography and astronomical art exhibition, a collaboration between the gallery and TriState Astronomers.

TriState Astronomers is an amateur astronomy group that meets at the William Brish Planetarium in Hagerstown, Maryland, and engages in community outreach events in the area.

The exhibition will include unique astronomy-inspired art and astrophotography by members of both groups.Weather permitting; telescopes will be available on the sidewalk to view Jupiter and other visible astronomical images.

Admission is free, and wine and light refreshments will be available.
