Local songwriter featured at Wine Down Friday


WAYNESBORO - Jon Ingels, a singer/songwriter from Waynesboro, will be performing his blend of bluegrass, rock, and blues music at Wine Down Friday,  5:30-8 p.m. April 15 in Gallery 50, 50 West Main Street, Waynesboro.

Wine and light refreshments will be available.

Ingels has performed with several local groups, including the Boro Boogie Pickers. His lyrical content is a mixture of storytelling and geographic imagery backed by folk chord patterns, simple melodies, and blues-driven rhythm.

Also on Friday, April 15, Gallery 50 will be holding a reception from 5:30-8 p.m. to introduce their newest window gallery installation, “All About Color” featuring Marti Yeager of Fayettesville,  a professional artist and teacher specializing in oils, acrylics, pastels, and watercolors. Other artists included in the installation are Donna Mason, Chris Lowery, and Hans Guerin. Yeager will be on hand to speak about her art.

On Saturday, April 16, from 1-3 p.m. at 42 West ARTS Co-Op & Gallery, 42 W. Main St., Waynesboro, gallery co-owner Denny Bingaman will be demonstrating wildlife sculpting in clay. For more information, visit the co-op website at www.42westarts.com or call 717-762-8394.
