First Friday celebrates good health

CHAMBERSBURG - The Downtown Business Council and Council for the Arts of Chambersburg present the June 3 First Friday celebration from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 3, in downtown Chambersburg, featuring a lineup of health-related offerings and displays representing the wide range of healthy alternatives available in Chambersburg.

New Day Yoga and Wellness, Gaia Kosha Yogic Spa, Summit Health Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Chambersburg Fitness Center, Chambers Apothecary, Cheri Roth of Spiritual Entry, Christine Elmer Massage Therapy, Melissa Russ Psychic Medium, Alternative Creations, Roxbury Treatment Center, Cross Fit, Planet Fitness, Family Cycling Center, Chambersburg Lyme Alliance and The Nutrition Center will be among the health providers represented. Everlasting Love Florist will join the health-related offerings that will fill the quadrants of Memorial Square, which is the intersection of Routes 11 and 30, Main Street and Lincoln Way.

The artistic focus for June’s First Friday will be at 100 South Main Street, where The Foundry will host local artists and photographers, art demonstrations and the acoustic band BCkings.

The evening will also feature Chambersburg’s “First Friday Bingo." First Friday Bingo had a slow start with May’s rainy First Friday, but can be played throughout the summer and into September. Participants visit downtown businesses to complete lines on a bingo card that features various opportunities they can experience downtown. All confirmed bingos will be entered into drawings for cash prizes each First Friday, with the grand prize being awarded during October's event. More details available on the Downtown Business Council FaceBook page.

June 3 First Friday is sponsored by Fitzgerald Auto Mall.
