Want to draw comics? This Gettysburg event is for you

Comic book artists and fans will have the opportunity to learn about the industry from a firsthand perspective at Fourcorners Comics in Gettysburg on Sunday.

Ken Hunt, a self-taught professional artist, will be signing books, selling prints, offering sketches and checking out individual artists' portfolios, according to a news release from Fourcorners Comics. He'll also teach a class on how to break into the comic industry.

Hunt has worked for companies including DC Comics, Daystar Studios Entertainment, Jam Packed Productions and Carnal Comics among others, the news release states.

In addition, the first 50 customers on Sunday will receive an exclusive black-and-white signed and numbered Batman print, the release states.

"Having Ken Hunt agree to review portfolios and teach a class on breaking into the industry is huge," said Arthur Sanchez, owner of Fourcorners Comics. "We hope to continue to provide experiences that will foster the art community we are trying to build here."

The comic book store recently added an artist alley, where customers can express their creativity by drawing and writing. In addition, their completed artwork can be seen on the shop's walls.
