To the delight of puppy lovers everywhere, "wiener dogs," or dachshunds, were invited for the first ever wiener dog parade through the WeCo district in York Friday evening.

The event, organized by Small Star Art House, was held to promote this weekend's showings of Sundance Film Festival favorite "Wiener-Dog" at the independent theater. The quirky comedy follows the life of a wiener dog as well as those of the humans the dachshund comes across during his lifetime.

Friday's parade included at least 14 dachshunds, some of whom dressed in costume.
