Sinatra-inspired crooner to appear at Capitol Theatre

CHAMBERSBURG - "It Was a Very Good Year," a multimedia tribute to Frank Sinatra, comes to the Capitol Theatre stage at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 9.

Sinatra stylist Tony Sands begins his act with Old Blue Eyes' early days with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, progresses to the star's years in New York City and recalls his comeback concert, "The Main Event," at Madison Square Garden on October 12, 1974.

Sands is noted for his uncanny portrayal of Sinatra's mannerisms and vocal style which, combined with video, graphics and orchestration, create a show that's "as if Frank walked off the screen and onto the stage to perform for you," according to a press release promoting the event.
