Parliament fundraiser pairs York fashion and art

Art meets fashion at The Parliament Arts Organization's annual spring fundraiser May 20.

This year’s Spring Forward event will partner eight area artists with downtown retailers to create three-dimensional art installations that bring art and fashion to life, according to the Facebook event page.

Eight "Renaissance York County Women" over the age of 40 were selected by a secret committee to model the downtown boutique clothing at the event, held from 7 to 11 p.m. at The Bond, 134 E. King St., York.

"These award winners, who will be honored at the event Friday, are women who represent strength, elegance and leadership in our community," according to a news release.

The event will also include an open bar, food, photo booth and dance party.

Beer will be provided by The Beer Ace and refreshments and catered food will be served courtesy of The JDK Group.
