Sample Guinness-infused dishes at York fundraiser
What better way to kick off an early Saint Patrick’s Day celebration than food and Guinness?
On March 3, York’s annual ‘There’s Guinness In It’ fundraiser will return to Central Market House, 34 W. Philadelphia St., with samples from a dozen area restaurants and caterers, according to a news release.
Each dish will contain one common ingredient: Guinness.
Participating restaurants and caterers include:

- Artistic Foods Catering
- Bair’s Fried Chicken
- The Busy Bee
- Central Family Restaurant
- Copper Crust
- Corner Cabinet Café
- Joy’s Café
- Mezzogiorno
- Pepper’s Grille
- Simply Soup
- York City Pretzel Company
- Yorktowne Hotel
The event is scheduled for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25 and include samples from each participating location, samples of Guinness products and door prize drawings.
To purchase tickets, visit Eventbrite.com, contact a parade committee member or stop by Take Five Espresso Bar inside Central Market. Checks made payable to York Saint Patrick’s Day Parade can also be mailed to YSPD Parade, P.O. Box 1043, York, PA 17405-1043. Include your name and email address to confirm receipt of payment.
The deadline to purchase tickets is Feb. 26. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Proceeds benefit the York Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.
