Brunch in York? Try these spots

Here's a list to help you find a new brunch spot in York County.

When people come to Sunday brunch at the Blue Heron in Springettsbury Township, they just tend to be in a good mood.

Many come from religious services, so maybe it's because they just heard some "good words," said David Leheron, the restaurant's owner. Families get together to catch up or mark special occasions. They often want someone to snap their picture.

"People are willing to go with ... a richer meal than regular breakfast," he said. Along with sweet and savory crepes, the Blue Heron menu includes dishes like a crab and asparagus omelette, fish of the day, or steak and eggs. With deep red bloody Marys and sparkling orange mimosas, it's a feast for the eyes, too, he said.

Brunch is served on Saturday at Blue Heron, too, it's just not quite as festive, Leheron said.
