Out and About in Lebanon: 'Young Irelanders' hit the stage


A popular young Irish act is coming to Lebanon, plus tickets are now on sale for two more big performances coming to Chocolate Town. More on those events, plus plenty of opportunities to get lucky playing bingo. Here’s a look at what’s going on this week around the area.

Come check out a show comprised of eight sensational performers with Irish traditional music, song, and dance. “The Young Irelanders” will take place at William Starr Auditorium at Lebanon High School, Sunday, April 10 at 3 p.m. This special patron concert is the fifth of six concerts in this season’s LCCCA presentations. Single ticket sales on the day of the concert for the Young Irelanders benefit the Cedar Foundation. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door on the day of the concert for $15. Lebanon County Community Concert Association concludes its 2015-16 season with The Glenn Miller Orchestra (May 1). “Town Hall with Greg Gutfeld and Dana Perino" is coming to the Hershey Theatre. The show includes special guest Larry Gatlin, and will take place Sunday, April 24 at 7 p.m. Tickets for this show are now available. The cost is $42.85, $67.85, $102.85 and $202.85. This Town Hall event will combine Greg’s razor-sharp wit with Dana’s no-nonsense political savvy to share their thoughts on the upcoming presidential primary, news of the day and culminating with a Q & A session. For more information, visit www.hersheytentertainment.com.

Tickets are now on sale for #TrendFest, which returns to Hershey this summer. Presented by 99.3 KISS FM and FM97, the concert will take place on Wednesday, June 15 at GIANT Center and feature some of today’s biggest rising stars and Internet sensations. This year’s performances include Charlie Puth, Troye Sivan, Nathan Sykes, Daya and Shawn Hook. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, March 19 at 10 a.m. and will be available at Ticketmaster.com, HersheyEntertainment.com, GIANT Center Box Office, Ticketmaster Outlets or by-phone at 800-745-3000. Tickets prices are $22.18, $32.35, $42.85 and $77.85. VIP Packages will be available beginning March 17 at 10 a.m. The wristband policy will be in effect for this concert. Fans are permitted on the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex property beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 19. Two hours prior to the on-sale time, fans will be directed in front of Giant Center Box Office, where they will be issued a numbered wristband. Bluegrass music continues this Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Myerstown Indoor Flea Market, located at 115-119 E. Main Ave. in Myerstown. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 717-269-7891.

The Lebanon Walk-In Bingo continues this weekend. Doors open at 11 a.m. Saturday afternoon, as well as the kitchen, followed by bingo from noon to 10 p.m. For the Night Mini Programs, doors open at 5 p.m. with Bingo starting at 5:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The location is 725-727 E. You can also play bingo at sunset. The weekly walk-in bingo will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Friday. Dimes and quarters will then start 8 p.m. The event benefits SARCC, Lebanon Family Health Services and Foster Parents. Bingo will be held at 1650 N. Seventh St., Lebanon. The weekly Free Low-Impact Exercise Class continues at 10 a.m. Monday at Grace United Christ Church, located at 1000 S. Fifth Ave., Lebanon. The class is open to everone.

Coming up in April at the Governor Dick Environmental Center, it's Seeing Nature April 2 at 3 p.m. You can develop skills to see nature while making discoveries. Workbooks are included. Cost is $5 per person and you must register. Spacing is also limited. The next day, on April 3, at 9 a.m., take a fitness hike, which is a fast-paced 4- to 6-mile hike. Then from 1 to 4 p.m., enjoy music on the porch. Bluegrass and old country-style music jam will be played. You're invited to bring an instrument and a lawn chair.
