The Rise of the Baby Boomers
Mechanicsburg: Look back at the wonders of growing up in the 1950’s from noon to 3 p.m. every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday through Oct. 15 at The Freight Station Museum at 3 W. Allen Street. Jeff Dunham
West Manchester Township: Don’t miss a laughter filled and entertaining evening with Jeff Dunham and his sidekicks at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Ave. Don’t miss Walter the Grumpy Retiree, the furry and manic Peanut who carries his own ventriloquist dummy, Little Jeff and the spicy pepper from south of the border, Jose Jalapeno. Central Penn Parent Family Festival
Manchester Township: Catch a festival that will feature free family-friendly entertainment from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 17 at Cousler Park, 1060 Church Road. River of Lights
Wrightsville: Don’t miss a twilight lantern launch in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, beginning with a festival from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 18 at the John Wright Restaurant at 234 N. Front Street. Live music, food and drinks, a silent auction and children's activities will be available. Admission is free. Lanterns can be purchased for $5 in memory of or in honor of a loved one.

Early Off-Roaders Exhibit
Hershey: Check out vintage SUV’s featuring 50 years of the Ford Bronco and over 75 years of the Jeep from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Oct. 15 at the AACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive. Sport Utility Vehicles today are often more luxury than sport or utility. Years ago, it was a completely different mindset. The AACA Museum salutes these icons and the vehicles begat from them. Swing Dancing
Carlisle: Learn the basics of swing dance during beginner lessons from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at The Green Door Dance Venue, located at 14 E. North Street. Each lesson will cover the basic footwork and patterns, as well as several beginner to intermediate moves. Lessons are held every Tuesday and Saturday. Instructors rotate and the content varies. Wednesday Hike for the Work Weary
Carlisle: Enjoy a briskly-paced hike of 3 or 4 miles over uneven terrain from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 21, departing from the Kings Gap Hollow parking area at the Kings Gap Environmental Education Center, 500 Kings Gap Road. There will be a few stops along the trail for a snack and discussion. Hikers should always bring water, and sturdy boots or shoes are highly recommended. Call 717-486-3799 for details.

Harley-Davidson Open House
Springettsbury Township: Harley-Davidson York Vehicle Operations will host their annual Open House from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 22 through 24 at the Harley-Davidson plant, 1425 Eden Road. The event will feature local dealer tents, traditional self-guided tours, 2017 motorcycle demo rides, food vendors, a H.O.G. Pin Stop, live entertainment and more. York City Bike Night
Downtown York: Head to York’s Continental Square from 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 23 for a street party featuring a 2,000-motorcycle parade, live entertainment on four stages, food vendors and more. Pro Motorcycle Hill Climb
Spring Grove: Pro riders will take on a 300 foot hill with a curve near the top on Sept. 25 at the White Rose Motorcycle Club, 5252 Hillclimb Road. These lightweight motorcycles feature high horsepower engines running on nitro-methane and/or nitrous oxide. Gates open at 10 a.m. Tickets are $15. Parking is free. Vassily Primakov, Piano Concert
Gettysburg: The Gettysburg Community Concert Association will host a piano concert at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at Gettysburg Area High School, 1130 Old Harrisburg Road.
