Authors of 'The Royers of Renfrew' to speak May 28 in Grove Family Library, Chambersburg

Marie Lanser Beck and Maxine Beck, sisters-in-law and authors of the three-novel "The Royers of Renfrew" series, will speak at 2 p.m. May 28 in Grove Family Library, 101 Ragged Edge Road, Chambersburg.

The novels relate the lives of a real Pennsylvania German farm family who lived in the Waynesboro area at the beginning of the 1800s.

The authors bring to life the struggles and challenges faced by Royer family members who established the industrial farmstead that is now Renfrew Museum and Park.

The presentation is sponsored by Franklin County Historical Society-Kittochtinny.
