Coming soon: Spring garden tour in Greencastle area


Allison-Antrim Museum, 365 S. Ridge Ave., Greencastle, will sponsor its fifth annual spring garden tour fundraiser from 1 to 5 p.m. May 31.

The rain date is June 7. Tickets are $15 a person in advance, and are available at the museum as well as at the following locations: Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce, 217 E. Baltimore St.; Carl's Drug Store, 145 N. Antrim Way; Renfrew Museum, 1010 E. Main St., Waynesboro; Franklin County Visitors Bureau, 37 S. Main St, Chambersburg; and Snavely's Garden Corner at both 2106 Lincoln Way East, Fayetteville, and 19719 Leitersburg Pike, Hagerstown, Md.

Tickets will be available for $18 the day of the event, at each of the six homes visited.

A family day of miniature golf has been scheduled for June 28 to benefit the nonprofit Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic, Lancaster, which serves patients in the south central Pennsylvania area.

The Winning Smiles Family Golf Day will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Penn National miniature golf course, U.S. 997 and Orchard Road.

Cost is $15 a person, or $50 for a foursome. Cost includes a light lunch, and all participants will take home a filled "goodie bag."

Established in 1938, the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic is the oldest clinic in the world devoted to the care of children born with cleft lip or cleft palate and other craniofacial difference.
