"The Nerd": "C.S.I." star Eric Szmanda stars in this comedy about an unexpected guest who turns out to be a bumbling oaf with no social sense, little intelligence and even less tact. This first show in Totem Pole Playhouse's 65th season continues through June 14. Tickets range $30 to $45, and can be purchased at www.TotemPolePlayhouse.org/shows-tickets.

Neighborhood Chefs Walk: The residential area of Alexander Avenue will be transformed into an outdoor food sampling party from 4 to 7 p.m. for the 7th Neighborhood Chefs Walk. Seven chefs and restaurateurs will have food stations that will suit foodies with a wide variety of tastes. Featured will be Chef Tom Boock of The Cottage, dishes with Fat Tommy's sauces; Chef Grayson Bowman, Italian; Chef Roger Tappen, "Caribbean Delight"; Robin Volpe of Deli Brands of American, deli meat dishes; Chef Melissa Young of Menno Heaven, southern barbecue; Chef Dave Munson, "Dave's Fav's"; and Anne Schoenhofen of The Butcher Shoppe, cupcakes. There will also be ice cream, beer and wine tasting stations, and a long list of live musical performances. For tickets, call 261-12220 or go to www.cvsmusic.org. Tickets are also at The Butcher Shoppe, The Cottage Restaurant & Pub, Johnnie's Restaurant & Hotel Services, and the Norland Pub, all in Chambersburg. A limited number of tickets will be available at the event registration tables, to be located at the north and south ends of Alexander Avenue.

The Lettermen: Though past the age of collegiate letter sweaters, The Lettermen continue to draw audiences of all ages with their mellow, soulful harmonic sounds. Donovan Tea and Bobby Poynton join original member Tony Butala, at 7:30 p.m. at H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center at Shippensburg University. Tickets are $25 to $39, available online at Luhrscenter.com or by calling 477-7469.

Truck and tractor pull: Bring the whole family out to Two Top Ruritan, 12270 Two Top Road, Mercersburg, for the first truck and tractor pull of summer. Food will be for sale. Bring chairs. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for ages 8-12. Find out more at www.TwoTopRuritan.com.

June 6 and 7

Furry Fun Days: You and your dog are invited to Shippensburg Township Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. There will be a lot of vendors selling items for both canines and humans, as well as various animal shelters and rescues showing off adoptable dogs. There will also be a Keystone Dock Dogs competition, in which registered dogs show off their skills jumping as far as they can off a raised platform. There will also be agility and skill contests. Admission is a $5 donation per car, which will go toward supporting shelters and rescues. For more information, go to http://furryfunday.org.
