Enrichment center adds to seniors' activities
Franklin County Area Agency on Aging, Chambersburg, serves Franklin County residents ages 60 and older through its eight senior activity centers.
This year the Tuscarora center, Mercersburg, received a state grant to develop an enrichment center with enhanced activites for seniors and programs open to the public.
Open Mondays through Fridays (Path Valley, Mondays to Thursdays), centers offer meals and social activities, monthly speakers, picnics, musical entertainment special programs and more. Those needing assistance may attend with a personal aide of any age, and spouses younger than 60 may attend with a spouse 60 or older.

Fulton County
Fulton County senior centers are administered by Senior Centers of Huntingdon-Bedford-Fulton Counties, 116 W. Market St., McConnellsburg; 485-5151 or 1-800-637-0315. Centers offer meals, bus trips, candy making, crafts, health screenings, etc.
Three Fulton County locations are:

Shippensburg area
Sponsored by Messiah Lifeways of the Brethren in Christ Church, Shippensburg Senior Center recently moved into its newly refurbished home at Branch Creek Place, 115 N. Fayette St. It offers exercise and line dancing, cards and bingo, regular meals and more, and delivers meals to those who can't get out. There is also a classroom for group meetings.
