Fannett-Metal Education Foundation to hold annual race

WILLOW HILL >> Fannett-Metal High School senior Sawyer Rosenberry has taken on the responsibility of the fifth annual Fannett-Metal Education Foundation 5K Run/Walk. Coordinating the event will be his senior project.

The event will be Sept. 26 at the high school at 14823 Path Valley Road.

Registration will open at 7:30 a.m., with the race to begin at 8:30.

For those who pay by Sept. 4, entry fees are $25 with a guarantee of a T-shirt. Fees sent in after Sept. 4 are also $25, but there is no guarantee of a shirt or a correct sized shirt.

Awards will be given to the first male and female overall winners, and to winners in the following age groups: Age 12 and younger, ages 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and older.

Checks should be made payable to Fannett-Metal Education Foundation and mailed to Sawyer Rosenberry at P.O. Box 185, Willow Hill, Pa., 17271

With entries should be included names of participants and T-shirt sizes desired. Entry forms may be completed the day of the event.
