Waynesboro's Oller House ends summer with picnic and auction fundraiser

WAYNESBORO >> Another summer soiree is open to the public Aug. 29, in the back yard of the Oller House, 138 W. Main St.

Hosted by Waynesboro Historical Society, the dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Dress is summer casual.

A picnic dinner, in tune with live music by Danny Bock and Dave Snader, will be in the garden and under a large tent, with access to the newly renovated stable. The Oller House will also be open for exploration.

Cost is $20 a couple in advance, $25 at the door.

Live music will be provided.

For dinner, there will be pulled pork, bratwurst, chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, fresh fruit, desserts and drinks.

Also try your hand at small games of chance, and participate in a silent auction.

If you get there early, stop on the front porch to listen to singer/guitarist Jon Ingels, performing in the afternoon as part of Destination ARTS! weekend programming.

For reservations, call 717-762-6660.
