Winery event to benefit Adams arts council


BIGLERVILLE >> The 5th annual Adams County Arts Council's Art at the Winery will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20 at Hauser Estate Winery, 410 Cashtown Road, Biglerville.

The annual event will feature artwork, demonstrations, food by Ragged Edge, music by Ron Nicodemus and wine. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

A wide variety of 2D and 3D artwork will be featured under the tent and available for purchase, including pottery, jewelry, photography, leatherwork, beadwork, fiberwork, pastels and etching.

The following artists are participating: Sally Becker, Larry Brogan, Carrie Dietrich, Bert Danielson, Anne Finucane, Wendy Heiges, Marianne Kingston, Dave and Caroline Laskowski, Ciji Lo'Ren, Moises Martinez, Laurie McKelvie, Debbie Westmoreland and Erica Woodworthe.

Peter Plant, who is showing his artwork at the ACAC's Arts Education Center, Gettysburg will be on hand with a few of his pieces as well as plein air painting.

Belly dance instructor Gloria Saloky will give a demonstration at 1:30 p.m. Singer Ron Nicodemus will perform under the tent from 2-3:30 p.m., and pottery instructor Erica Woodworthe will give a wheelthrowing demonstration from 3:30-3:45 p.m.
