AppleFest
This popular festival celebrates one of the region's best crops with cider, apple pie, apple butter, apple dumplings, candy apples, caramel apples and all things apple! This year's event includes 150 vendors, including many local and regional artists, who will sell a variety of handcrafted items, 20 different food vendors and the North Square Farmers Market. Fall Folk Festival
With leaves changing to red and gold and temperatures dropping, now is the perfect time for Fulton County's change-of-season celebration — the 42nd annual Fulton Fall Folk Festival. This Friday through Sunday, browse the antique malls, flea markets and craft vendors, watch the lawn mower races or check out the tractors and other kinds of farm equipment. The event will also feature a parade Saturday at 10:30 a.m., which will begin at the intersection of 1st Street and Lincoln Way West and end at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. Gangsters, flappers, suffragettes and other characters are part of the mystery this weekend at the Old Jail for the Franklin County Historical Society's "Murder at the Crossed Keys Hotel." This Friday and Saturday, attendees will be led through the jail for approximately 45 minutes as the late Franklin County Commissioner, Frank Hafer, plays the "victim."
