Franklin County holiday events


Franklin County is in the holiday spirit! This weekend choose between taking the children to have breakfast with Santa, attending a Christmas festival, catching a holiday show and much more!

Ceramic Holiday Festival Fundraiser

Come out and get a handcrafted stein and enjoy some food and music by Jon Ingels and Brad Munn this Friday at Nicodemus Center for Ceramic Studies' Second Annual Holiday Festival Fundraiser. The event will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Ceramic Arts Center, 13 S. Christmas Festival

The Scotland United Methodist Church will host a Christmas festival from 6-8 p.m. this Friday at 4040 Scotland Main St. The event will feature music by the Rob Kauffman family and much more! For information call the church office at 717-352-7413.

Historical Holiday Chat

Come out to the Waynesboro Historical Society's Oller House, 138 W. Main St., at 10 a.m. this Saturday to chat about Waynesboro's Christmases and share your own personal memories. Participants are encouraged to bring a special childhood Christmas gift, pictures, stories and memories for a lively interactive discussion that promises to be fun and educational for all ages. Participation is free and open to the public and Christmas refreshments will be served. For more information call 717-762-1747 or 717-762-3834 or visit Waynesboro Historical Society on Facebook.

Breakfast with Santa 

Bring the kids out to have breakfast with Santa - a treat they are sure to enjoy this holiday season!

Fayetteville: The event will be held from 8-10:30 a.m. this Saturday at the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall, 101 W. Main St. Tickets are $5 for adults and kids ages 10 and under are free. For more information call 717-352-7723.

Shippensburg: The event will be held from 9-11 a.m. this Saturday at the West End Fire and Rescue, 49 Lurgan Avenue. Tickets are $5 for ages 12 and up, $3 for ages 3-11 and children ages 2 and under free. Advance tickets are available at The Hair Cottage, 240 E. Orange St. or by calling Samantha White at 717-658-9388.

Le Petit Cirque de Noel

You won't want to miss this amazing holiday show! Le Petit Cirque de Noel is coming to Chambersburg at 7 p.m. this Saturday at the Capitol Theatre, 159 S. Main St. Tickets are $10 and are available by clicking here or by calling 717-263-0202.

Christmas Candlelight Services

Mercersburg Academy will host its annual Christmas candlelight services from 4-7 p.m. this Sunday at the Irvine Memorial Chapel, 300 E. Seminary St., For those who cannot attend, there will also be a free live streaming of the event, which can be viewed by clicking here.

Towne Singers 

The Towne Singers will celebrate the season with a concert this Sunday! Featured in the concert will be a mix of works including the spirituals “For He Was Born,” by Ann Kapp Andersen and “Go Tell It On the Mountain,” by Nicholas T.
