Casting announced for Lerner & Loewe's 'Camelot' in Gettysburg


Gettysburg Community Theatre, located in the former Elks Lodge at 49 York St., within the first block of Lincoln Square in downtown Gettysburg, will present Lerner & Loewe's "Camelot" Aug. 14-23, at 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.

The production is being directed by Mike Baker, with vocal music direction by Jane Johnston, and choreography by Nikki Bull.

Leading the cast is GCT's Founding Executive/Artistic Director, Chad-Alan Carr, as he steps out of the director's chair and onto the stage in the iconic role of King Arthur. His two co-stars are actually former students of his from years ago, Katie Pellegrino plays Guenevere, and Owen Yingling plays Lancelot.

John Rudy will play Lord Pellinore, Eric Watson will play Mordred, Amy Janos plays Nimue, Benjamin Incaprera plays Squire Dap, Max Carlson plays Tom of Warwick, and the cast also includes Adam Smith, Zachary MacLeod, Ian Kress, Samantha Haskell, Dani Meyers, Allyson Nace, Madison Melton, Kaetlin Wienholt, and Linden Carbaugh in the ensemble as Knights and Ladies.

Tickets are now on sale for this production which will be quite different than any other production of Camelot patrons may have seen, as it will be in GCT's very intimate 80-seat black box theatre. Director Mike Baker has previously directed "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum" and "Oliver!" for GCT, and is a graduate of both Millersville University and Gettysburg College.
