September Invitational Show: This month's exhibit at the Hanover Area Arts Guild shows the work of award-winning artists Bob Kenyon, Ray Hartland and Jerry Gadd. Artist of the month is Anita Mitchell. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. An Evening with Caricature Artist Johnny Kascht: A dinner with the artist and a demonstration from the artist will take place Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wyndham Gettysburg, 95 Presidential Circle. Tickets are $85 at eventbrite.com.

Gettysburg Outdoor Antique Show: More than 120 dealers and collectors will gather on Lincoln Square in Gettysburg on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dance the weekend away

Gettysburg Big Band: The band will perform swing, Latin, waltz and ballad selections for ballroom dancing from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the American Legion, 528 E. Middle St., Gettysburg. Admission is $9 at the door. For information, call Joel Sears at 717-845-4277.

Visit Pippinfest

With fall comes the 35th Annual Pippinfest, where each day features a different activity.

This year's event takes place Saturday and Sunday around 108 W. Main St. in Fairfield from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A community yard sale, craft and food vendors, musicians and a quilt show are just some of the sights to see.

A kid's corner will be available for children, and a cruise-in car show will all take place in Fairfield.

"Clutch" It Up! Purse Benefit Auction: Handbags, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction for a three-day trip to Las Vegas will be offered from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Hanover Country Club, 200 E.
