The weekend is finally here, and with that comes a whole new list of fun events for the entire family. Summer might be slowly coming to an end, but don’t let that stop you from missing out on these events:
"The Old People Are Revolting"
Head over to the Hanover Little Theater at 360 Blooming Grove Road to watch Devon Williamson’s comedy, “The Old People Are Revolting”. The play focuses on a "group of senior citizens showing they still have fight in their bones as they take on the city council." Cost of admission is $15, and $2 of every ticket sold to the Sept. 10 show will be donated to Golden Vision Adult Day Services.
Gettysburg Wine and Music Festival
Calling all wine and music lovers: Gettysburg’s 12th annual Wine and Music Festival will take place Sept. 10-11 at the Gateway Gettysburg Complex. Sample wine from 25 Pennsylvania wineries.
9/11 Healing Field
The Exchange Club of Hanover will honor those who died in the 9/11 attacks Sept. 9-11 at West Manheim Elementary School, 2000 Baltimore Pike. Three thousand flags will be set up Friday, followed by special presentations and ceremonies throughout the weekend. The event benefits firefighters, police officers, emergency responders and Exchange Club of Hanover programs.
Head downtown for 2nd Saturday
Take in all downtown Hanover has to offer during 2nd Saturday on Sept. 10. The event, hosted by Main Street Hanover, runs from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Summer flea market
More than 80 vendors will be on hand a flea market on Sept. 10 at Elicker's Grove Park at 511 Roth Church Rd, Spring Grove. The event will offer entertainment and activities for the entire family, food, antiques, and a DJ. The House of Geek will be on site with unique Halloween wreaths.
