Susquehanna river towns host first Poker Run

Have a good poker face?

Put it to use at the Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce and Fourth Fridays' first-ever Poker Run.

Interested participants should stop by the Visitor’s Center at 445 Linden St., Columbia, to pick up a playing card and a postcard. The postcard will direct players to different venues or “dealers” throughout the river towns, according to a news release.

Each “dealer” will offer a special discount and a playing card when the postcard is shown.

The goal is for players to collect playing cards from all venues and select the best poker hand from the cards. The player with the best hand will receive $50.

The cost to participate is a $5 donation to the Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The run begins on Friday, Jan. 22 and ends on Friday, Feb. 26.

A complete list of venues participating in the Poker Run will be available Friday, Jan. 22 at www.parivertowns.com.
