Out and About: See former 'Nashville Star' contestant Chris Young at American Music Theatre

A Grammy and ACM award-winning country singer/songwriter Chris Young is coming to American Music Theatre. You remember him from when he first grabbed the country music biz’s attention on “Nashville Star” in 2006. Since then, his career has taken off, and he’ll be performing in the area Saturday, May 28 at 8 p.m. All tickets are $79. Be sure to plan a full day at Governor Dick Environmental Center Sunday, June 5. First at 8 a.m. is a Fitness Hike, which is fast-paced for four to six miles. Then from 1 to 4 p.m., it's another afternoon of “Music on the Porch” with bluegrass and old country-style music jam. Be sure to bring a lawn chair.
