Timeline Arcade to host Horror Fest

Timeline Arcade will be transformed into a scene from a horror movie this Saturday as actors from "The Walking Dead" and "Friday the 13th" will be on hand for Hanover's first Horror Fest.

The event idea was sparked when Brandon Spencer, owner of Timeline Arcade, was in talks with a friend in the movie industry. Horror Fest encompasses the whole pop-culture sort of thing, Spencer said. He is trying to combine the classic arcade scene with films from the '70s and '80s culture.

There will be horror memorabilia available for purchase, a zombie makeup station with artists from "The Walking Dead" and comic book vendors.

Timeline is also pairing up with 9th Gate Film & FX Studio to create a haunted house in its downstairs area, said Lexi Barrick, manager of Timeline Arcade. Food will be available for purchase from The Hanover Hub.

In addition, special appearances will be made by actor Ari Lehman, who played Jason in "Friday the 13th" and actors from "Dawn of the Dead" and "The Walking Dead."

Timeline Arcade has been promoting this event for about six months, which is why Spencer believes it will be a much bigger turnout than previous events.

"This one I'm terrified about because I think we're going to get so many more people," Spencer said.
