White Rose Thunder to rumble back to York in September


The fourth annual White Rose Thunder will rumble and roar back to York on Sept. 26, according to a news release.

All motorcycle enthusiasts and racing fans will feel right at home at the event, which will be held at the York Expo Center, that will feature flat-track motorcycle racing, a bike show, vendors and more. The event coincides again with Harley-Davidson's Open House, York City Bike Night and the Jefferson Hill Climbs.

Additionally, the event will host the "Dash for Cash," where the biggest bikes will compete for a $1,000 prize in a single high-octane race.

According to the release, 160 racers have entered to race, and the event is offering $10,000 as prize money.

Racers will arrive at the event around 7 a.m., and warm-ups start at 10 a.m. Races begin at noon. Doors to the event will open at 10 a.m. and will close around 7 p.m.

Admission for the event will be $15, and children under 12 can attend for no charge with a paying adult. For more details, go to the White Rose Thunder website.
