Yorkers weekend plans: Beaver auction, Yorkfest, Dover theater

Each week, some York County locals share what they are doing this weekend. Some favor art, theater, craft beer, wine or music. Some simply like finding something different to do each week. Whatever your interest, see what they're up to this last week in August - it might help you plan your Friday or Saturday night.

Meagan Feeser (loves all things York): I'll be going to The Beaver Creek Project party at White Rose on Saturday. I can't wait to bid on a beaver!

JJ Sheffer (music aficionado): This weekend, I'm finally trying out Escape Games Live. I've pulled a group together of some super-sleuth friends, and look forward to being locked in a replica of a 1970s living room and solving our way out.

Lancaster also has an Escape Room.

Lyn Bergdoll (theater lady): I'm looking forward to a theater experience that is unlike most of the shows I attend. I'm seeing OrangeMite Studios' "Cyrano de Bergerac" this weekend at the Dover Barn.

Most panelists are headed to York's biggest art festival, YorkFest, this weekend.

Mel Conrad (York caricature artist): Saturday, I'm going to the annual 2015 YorkFest Jazz Concert which will be held at the Strand-Capitol. It's free and open to the public.

Kara Gonzales (York College student): This weekend I'm so excited to see the tents at Yorkfest and ChalkWalk! And to kick it off on Friday night I'll be attending the opening reception at the Agricultural & Industrial Museum.

Jeff Gochoco (homebrewer): This weekend, I'm checking out Yorkfest.
