West Manchester Town Center hosts Plaza Party

The West Manchester Town Center will hold a free Community Plaza Party 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 29, to celebrate the revamped shopping destination.

The event will feature carnival games and gift card giveaways. Shoppers will receive one entry into a gift card drawing for every $20 spent at the shopping plaza during the party.

Food will be available for purchase from the center's Buffalo Wild Wings and Firehouse Subs as well as other local vendors. Buffalo Wild Wings will also hold a wing-eating contest. Register on-site at 11 a.m.

Regal Cinemas will show off its newly renovated theaters and visitors can sample their new power recliners. And radio station WARM 103 will play music in a live remote broadcast.

Redevelopment into an open air shopping center continues at the West Manchester Town Center, which is anchored by Kohl's and Wal-Mart. Additional retailers include DSW, Charming Charlie, GNC, Kay Jewelers, Ann Taylor Loft, GameStop, Kirkland's and Petco. Burlington is expected to open in October.

The shopping center is located just off Route 30 in West Manchester Township at 1800 Loucks Road.
