Chili spices up Hanover's weekend

Mix beer, meat, spices and people.

The outcome?

The 20th anniversary of the Hanover Chili Cook Off.

This year, more than 20 competitors came to the borough to showcase their homemade chili and salsa to hundreds of people, with hopes of placing in the International Chili Society's salsa, chili verde and red chili competitions, as well as the open chili competition.

But, eating chili wasn't the only activity available at the event.

Entertainment was provided by Hanover's Cledus Snow Mother Truckers, Macy K & the Oven Hot Fresh Delicious and the Kelly Bell band.

Face painting was available and vendors such as Snyder's of Hanover and Rita's Italian Ice were on site as well.
