Art exhibit featuring six Central Pa. galleries opens in York

Works by six Central Pa. art galleries are coming to a one-night-only exhibit in York this October.

The third annual Decked Out Skate Deck Auction and Art Show will highlight more than 150 hand-painted, collaged and manipulated skate decks from 6 to 10 p.m. Oct. 17 at The Bond, 134 E. King St., York.

The event includes a skate deck auction, live music, live screen printing, a car smash and more, according to Deck Out's Facebook page.

All proceeds benefit participating art galleries and Reid Menzer Memorial Skate Park.

The Parliament Arts Organization (116 E. King St., York)

Hive Artspace (126 E. King St., York)

Sunshine Art + Design(104 W. King St., Lancaster)

Discerning Eye Center for the Arts (12 W. New St., Lancaster)

The Millworks (340 Verbeke St., Harrisburg)

The Alchemy of Art (1637 Eastern Ave., Baltimore)

Live music will be performed by Lancaster rock band Kid Cousin, Harrisburg alternative blues band Shawan And The Wonton, Philadelphia indie rock band The Naked Sun and Philadelphia indie band Janelle.

Food and drinks will be provided by three Central Pa. food trucks and Otto's Kitchen & Cocktails.
