Dining out Christmas Eve? Here are some options
Whether you are looking for dinner and drinks or Chinese takeout on Christmas Eve, diners have plenty of options in the York area.
Early on Christmas Eve
• OffCenter Grill, located in the Yorktowne Hotel, 48 E. Market St., York, will be open for breakfast and lunch, 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 24.
• Victor’s, 554 S. Ogontz St., York, will be serving their modern Mediterranean fare for lunch, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 24. Sing along during mid-afternoon caroling in the bar area, which will close at 5 p.m.
Dinner and drinks
• C&D Bar and Grill, 6465 York Road, New Oxford, will be open 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Dec. 24. The casual fine dining restaurant is on Route 30 two miles west of Abbottstown. Christmas Eve reservations are recommended. Call 717-479-5369.
• John Wright Restaurant, 234 N. Front St., Wrightsville, known for casual farm to table dining, will serve dinner 4-9 p.m. Dec. 24. Reservations are recommended at 717-252-0416.
• Oak, the upscale casual dining restaurant at Heritage Hills Golf Resort, 2700 Mt. Rose Ave., York, will be open 5-10 p.m. Dec. 24. Reservations are welcome, but not needed. Call 717-755-0123.
• Otto's Kitchen & Cocktails, 19 N. George St., York, will be serving lunch and dinner 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Dec. 24. Bartenders will be crafting some special holiday drinks, with the bar closing at 11 p.m. Reservations are accepted, but are not required, at 717-747-1922.
• Roosevelt Tavern, 50 N. Penn St., York, will offer their farm to table menu 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Dec. 24. Call for reservations, 717-854-7725.
Asian cuisine
• Shangrila Chinese Restaurant, 2150 White St., West York, will be serving their Szechwan specialties Dec. 24 and 25. Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Thursday; 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday. Reservations are preferred for groups. Call 717-850-8647.
• Wild Ginger, 2444 Eastern Blvd., York, serving sushi, Japanese, Chinese and Thai, will be open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Dec. 24 and 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Dec. 25. Call 717-757-1818.
Christmas Day
• The Yorktowne Hotel, 48 E. Market St., York, will offer a full buffet in the Ballroom from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Dec. 25, by reservation only. For menu details or reservations, call 717-848-1111.
• Holly Inn, 31 S. Baltimore St., Mount Holly Springs, will host Christmas Dinner with select entrees and a children’s menu, 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 25. Call for reservations, 717-486-3823.
