Scenes from New Year's Eve in York

People of all ages ushered in 2016 around York Thursday night and early Friday morning.

The party got kicked off in earnest at Central Market, where a kids' countdown was celebrated at 8 p.m.

Along North George Street at Tutoni's, the restaurant broke in a new bar that will open to the public in January.

The Yorktowne Hotel held a New Year's Eve gala that featured dinner and dancing.

Of course, York dropped its white rose at midnight on Continental Square. Officials estimated 3,000 people came to the square for the rose drop.

Happy New Year, everyone! #NYEyork
